REVIEW OF GRANT REQUESTS
The Foundation accepts and reviews grant requests throughout the year. It considers requests that are feasible, cost-effective and central to the organization's mission. It evaluates grant requests through the organization's programs, accomplishments, leadership and finances. Organizations must be well-managed, fiscally sound, have a developed history and maintain a record of program integrity.
In most instances, it takes 2 to 3 months to review a grant request from the day that it is received to notification of its disposition. Applicants are contacted promptly as soon as a decision has been made.
Due to the numerous requests received, visits to the Foundation's offices are discouraged unless arranged by invitation. The staff of the Foundation will contact grant applicants when it is time to discuss funding requests and schedule meetings or site visits.
Unfortunately, the Foundation is able to fund only a limited number of the requests it receives. If a particular request meets funding criteria but does not receive support, one should not interpret this as an indication of the Foundation's lack of appreciation for the merit and worthiness of either the request or the organization seeking support.
